The Kristal Ice Builder is a unique design and will produce water at 0.5°C over the Plate Cooler under normal circumstances will produce milk dropping into the tank at 3.5°C. The Ice Builder is controlled by a Micro Processor which thinks for itself and should the Ice Builder require more than seven hours, the fadant will allow it to run the appropriate length of time and will readjust itself whatever the circumstances. Again, the Ice Builder is made of Stainless Steel including the inner frames and has been designed to an exceptionally high standard. The same design can be used to build up to a 5 ton Ice Builder with the same excellent results.

Condensing Units

All Ro-Ka tanks use the Stainless Steel Kristal Condensing Units, with large condensers, big receivers and Bristol Compressors. These are specifically designed for the farming community, which ensures that even if the condenser is slightly clogged, sufficient surface area exists for the machine to operate extremely efficiently. The large receivers ensure that a pump down system takes the refrigerant liquid out of the tank at the time of "Hot Wash". This is extremely important for any tank using a hot wash cleaner.

Extended Tanks

In many situations dairy farmers have found themselves wanting additional capacity, but unable to fit a larger tank into the existing dairy without having to do additional building work. With this in mind, the extended tank was introduced, whereby a 500 gallon Bulk Tank, i.e., 2500 litres, could be extended both on the inner vessel and the outer vessel, the frame strengthened up to a capacity of 4000 litres. This has meant the same floor area is covered, it merely makes the tank taller. The same can be applied to any Fullwood tank and the maximum capacity that can be achieved is 6000 litres by extending a 750 gallon Bulk Tank. The great advantage of doing this, is that very often the existing pipe work and compressors can be used, thereby cutting down the cost of purchase and installation.

South West Refrigeration have exported to Russia, Switzerland and Uganda and can provide tanks of virtually any size, whether merely on their own or reconditioned and available for refrigeration.

Second Hand Tanks

A large variety of tanks are always available, second hand DX with Straight DX or conventional Ice Bank Tanks. The largest size Ice Bank Tank would be a 945 gallon Bulk Tank, holding approximately 4500 litres and the smallest would be a 60 gallon round compact tank. The makes of second hand tanks would be the Fabdec, Alfa Laval, Woods, Desco and second hand DX tanks would be Ro-Ka, Japy, Mueller, Fabdec or Fullwood. All second hand tanks are normally sold with a guarantee and if sold in the South West area, the price would include delivery and installation.

Ancillary Parts

Plate Coolers, Tank Cleaners, Micro Fadants, Water Heaters, etc. are all readily available and can be provided on their own or fitted, which ever the customer would prefer.
